Solutions instead of prolonged disputes

At SKOV Advokater, we offer mediation as an alternative to litigation and arbitration. Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process in which the parties, assisted by a neutral mediator, work out a solution to their dispute themselves. The process is typically faster and less costly than going to court, and it allows the parties to stay in control of the outcome – and often to preserve their relationship.

We assist both as mediator and as adviser to a party in mediation. We have experience with disputes between business partners, customers and suppliers, disagreements between owners and management, business successions, and disputes concerning employment and real property. We assess whether your case is suitable for mediation, prepare you thoroughly for the process and make sure that the solution you reach is set out clearly and in a legally sound written agreement. If the case is already before the courts, court-annexed mediation may be an option – and here too, we are ready to advise you.
